Abstract
It is very important to know the surface composition of binary alloy nanoclusters because the surface properties are mostly governed by the metal which covers the greater part of the cluster surface. In this work, we, for the first time, discuss the surface segregation and the surface composition by using the optical extinction spectrum of binary Fe-Mo alloy nanoclusters and find that the Mo metal preferred the surface to the inside of alloy nanoclusters.
