Abstract

This paper presents hand gesture recognition for pattern matching technique using ternary content addressable memory (TCAM). At present, the demand for smart devices is rapidly increasing. Based on this development, numerous applications using image processing came into progress. Of all the image processing techniques, motion detection using image processing is given high priority. TCAM has high speed parallel processing memory where it controls the data at faster rates when the search and store data runs at the same time. Therefore we proposed a method using TCAM for pattern matching that can be incorporated for image processing where device characteristics have potential value.
