Abstract

With This study investigated and analyzed the income levels and purchasing methods of home appliance buyers in order to obtain implications for the distribution of high-efficiency appliances. A questionnaire survey was conducted for 2,250 households in Korea. As a result, there was no difference in online and offline purchasing ratio by income. However, when the purchasing patterns of all consumers were examined, the online purchase rate had increased more than the offline one. It was shown that consumers had high reliability on online purchase. Moreover, according to online purchasing patterns (internet shopping and others), the online purchase rate of high-efficiency appliances was relatively higher than the offline one.
