Abstract

Skeletal anchorage is one of the most important innovations in orthodontic treatment in the past 25 years. Orthodontic micro-implants now enable such difficult movements as retraction of anterior teeth without anchorage loss,¹ intrusion of posterior teeth or an entire dentition,^2-4 and distal movement of an entire arch.^5-7.
