Abstract

The present study identified factors influencing family function among high-risk pregnancy women. Participants included 91 women who were diagnosed with a high-risk pregnancy at 20-38 weeks' gestation in three university hospitals between March 3 and 30, 2015. Multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 22 was performed to identify the factors that influence family function. Anxiety, sense of mastery, gestational age, and pregnancy stress were identified as significant factors that influence family function. This study suggests the need for prenatal nursing intervention programs that focus on reducing pregnancy stress and anxiety and increasing a sense of mastery among pregnant women; this could, in turn, help improve family function among women with high-risk pregnancy.
