Abstract

Three new ginsenosides were isolated from heat-processed ginseng roots. Their structures were determined to be 3β,12β,25-trihydroxydammar- 20E(22)-ene-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, 3β,12β,23-trihydroxy-24,25- epoxydammar-20E(22)-ene-3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl(1 → 2)-β-D-glucopyranoside, and 3β,6α,12β-trihydroxydammar- 20E(22),24-diene-6-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-12-O-β-D-glucopyranoside based on spectroscopic evidence. The compounds were named ginsenosides Rh 10, Rg11, and 12-O-glucoginsenoside-Rh4, respectively.
