Abstract

A timing phase estimator and a frame selection algorithm which are robust to Rayleigh channels was proposed for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) receivers. The distorted pilots were excluded from timing offset estimation to avoid the timing offset estimation. The frame selection algorithm was developed to remove the intersymbol interference (ISI) problem in multipath channels. The proposed system could reduce the influence of Rayleigh fading with low computation complexity compared to conventional systems.
