Abstract

Ursolic aldehyde (1) and (+)-lariciresinol (2) were isolated from the MeOH extracted fraction of the fruits of Cornus kousa by repeated column chromatographies. The structure of the compounds were determined by spectroscopic data including nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry, mass spectrometry and infrared spectrometry Ursolic aldehyde inhibited phosphatase of regenerating liver-3 with IC50 value of 50±0.3 μM. And (+)-lariciresinol inhibited low-density lipoprotein oxidation with an IC50 value of 11.9±0.5 μM.
